Rio Grande Fence Company’s Campbellsville project combines chain-link fencing with light-colored privacy slats. The project photograph shows a long fence run turning at a corner, with angled barbed-wire extensions above the fabric. Gravel borders the fence, while trees and grass frame the outside of the site.
A perimeter with screening
Privacy slats change how a chain-link boundary looks and how much of the area behind it can be seen. In this photograph, the slats form a consistent screen along the visible run. The steel framework and fence line remain visible, giving property teams a useful example of how screening can be incorporated into a commercial perimeter.
Plan the whole fence system
A privacy-slat fence should be considered as a complete system. Discuss the desired level of screening, the exposed location and the supporting framework with your installer. Adding slats changes the way wind passes through a fence, so an existing fence should be assessed before slats are added. The photograph provides a starting point for discussing appearance; the final specification depends on the actual site.
Keep access and maintenance in the plan
For a new perimeter, identify where vehicles, staff and maintenance equipment need to pass before choosing gate locations. Allow room to approach and operate each opening, and consider how gravel, vegetation and changes in grade meet the fence line. This project view does not show a gate, so gate arrangements should be planned separately for your property.
What to bring to an estimate
Share your property location, photographs of the proposed fence line and the areas you want screened. Note existing fencing, corners and access routes. If you are considering barbed-wire extensions like those pictured here, discuss whether they suit the property and its intended use. Rio Grande can review the layout and help you compare fence and gate options.
