Rio Grande Fence Company completed a plank-and-wire horse fence installation for Scott County Schools in Georgetown, Kentucky.

The project photographs show wood posts and a single wood top board paired with wire mesh, with the fence following the changing grade beside trees and an existing barn.

The project was reported complete on October 17, 2026. These views capture the fence in its autumn setting, with a mix of green foliage and leaves beginning to turn.

A defined boundary with an open view

The wood top board gives the fence a continuous visual line, while the wire mesh below maintains an open view across the property. From a distance, the posts and board establish the route of the fence without creating a solid screen.

One photograph looks along the fence beside the barn and down the slope. A second view shows a longer stretch against the tree line. Together, they show why a fence layout needs to be considered across the whole site, including changes in ground level and the buildings and vegetation nearby.

Planning a fence around the property

For property owners considering a similar style, start with what the fence needs to do. Discuss the boundary, preferred appearance and any access requirements before choosing the construction details. Ground contours, existing structures and space for routine maintenance can all influence the layout.

Mesh selection, post spacing and other specifications should follow the intended use. A project photograph can help explain the look you prefer; a site review establishes the details needed for your property.
